The Hares: Master Shafter & Pee Wee

The Harriers (in order of appearance): Calinton, Rapunzel, Forget It, Moonie-chan, Thunderballs Are Go!, Kakapupu, Niku Doko?, Roman Style, Blah Blah, Abe Hajime-san, Seventy Percent, Chu Chu, Muff Diver, French Tickler, Spermless, Matsumoto-san, Crusader, Wrong Pussy, Fish Face, Kick My Balls, Tight Wad, Gaseous Clay, Dew Drop, Electronymph.

Trail Report: For tonight's run, the Hares chose a venue previously used seventeen months earlier. As Hashers arrived they were certain it must be place but still it somehow didn't seem the same. Apparently some refurbishment work had taken place and the tennis club's toilets, described by several Hashers as beautiful, were available to the general public.

The next unexpected thing was the number of Hashers turning up with no intention of taking part in the Hash. Second Hand Job stayed only long enough to plead an obligation to take her exercise inside the adjacent fitness centre but Foreskin stayed long enough to find out all kinds of things from the Hares. Further surprises came in the form of three Hashers who hadn't been for ages, then two more long-time Hashers who'd never been to F3H3.

When the Pack took off, the Trail took them up the steps, across Sotobori-dori and into the maze of backstreets, where a couple of CBs kept most of them close together. After passing under Akebono bridge, the Trail continued to the west end of Akebono station then doubled back up the slope to the north end of the bridge. After turning northwards, some of the Pack recognised the venue of Run 69. Then there was a big, wide, zig-zagging, sweeping, meandering arc westwards to Yochomachi and southwards to the big crossroads at Yotsuya 4-chome.

Some Hares like to put checkpoints at junctions of backstreets where it's easy to go checking and easy to hear the "on-on" call. However, tonight's Hare seems to prefer places like junctions of several major streets with lots of smelly exhaust fumes, where you have to wait for green traffic lights before you can go checking and even a Hasher's whistle can barely be heard above the general background din. After a while the on-on was found and the Trail crossed Shinjuku-dori and turned eastwards, leading via Suga shrine back to Yotsuya station.

One Hasher had the misfortune to encounter a loose piece of paving and suffered a sprain but no seriouis injury. Rather than limp all the way, he took a train from Yotsuya 3-chome back to Yotsuya station.

The Hash enjoyed the luxury of an otherwise deserted park with plenty of space and numerous benches, making an excellent changing area - for those who don't mind doing it in the open. Hey, who's looking?! The snacks included bread rolls and a tasty cheese mixture, washed down - as usual - with pleanty of beer. Even so, two Hashers fuktov early, one of whom should have had his first anniversary down-down.

Down-downs: awarded to Kakapupu for something about Rapunzel's leggings then with Niku Doko? for fukinov early; the Hares for haring; Blah Blah, Fish Face and Dew Drop for welcome back; Forget It, Thunderballs Are Go! and Abe Hajime-san for their F3H3 Virginity; Crusader for FRBing; Dew Drop for DFLing; Fish Face for an injury on Trail; the Hares for a dangerous Trail; Fish Face for use of mechanical conveyance; Tight Wad for being very fashionably dressed; I Have The Clap, Matsumoto-san, Moonie-chan and Rapunzel for all wearing yellow on Trail; Gaseous Clay, Tight Wad, Wrong Pussy, Spermless and Thunderballs Are Go! for wearing glasses on Trail; Master Shafter for hunting down and capturing a plastic bag which was desperately attempting to escape from the danger of being stuffed with smelly running shoes; Gaseous Clay for failing to keep said plastic bag under sufficient control; Dew Drop for new shoes; Crusader and Blah Blah for plans to fukov from Japan and miss next week's run; and Calinton, Blah Blah, Chu Chu, Wrong Pussy and Tight Wad for announcements. Finally Roman Style, French Tickler and Kick My Balls drank to the Flounder.

AfterHash: where Fukinov is an Art...  on the way up the slope to the station there was talk of an overnighter later this winter...
