Trail Report: As Friday approached, there were forecasts of heavy rain all day so the Hare planned to use a place with excellent shelter and facilities but not much space, which shouldn't be a problem with a Pack smaller than usual due to the wet weather. Athough the rain stopped early in the afternoon, only ten Hashers found the way to Harumi Island Triton Square before 7:30, when the Hare led them upstairs to her sister's apartment. She (the sister) probably didn't really know what to expect...

The Pack dumped their bags in Seya-chan's room then set off. Seya-chan started running too, at times as the FRB, but by Check 2 he became too tired and hitched a ride back home on the back of a friendly Hasher. The Trail started out round the south corner of Triton Square and through Reimeibashi park. Then there was some confusion as the FRBs lost the Trail but it was soon found again heading south-west to a Check. Here it was quite clear that the Trail would lead over Asashio-kobashi - and so it did, offering those who know the place a short cut up the steps instead of going to the far end of the slope and back.

The next Check was on the main street in Kachidoki, with the on-on over Niijimabashi and to the left, leading to the Sumida river waterfront. After crossing Kachidokibashi, the Pack found a fishy-looking Checkpoint at the goods entrance to Tsukiji market. The on-on led north, very soon followed by Check 4, then just a short stretch of Tsukijikawa park and two sides of St Luke's College of Nursing before Check 5. The on-on zig-zagged east and after so long without a bridge in sight it was a tremendous relief to be climbing up to the roadway of Tsukuda-Ohashi.

Back on Tukishima, the FBRs came down off the bridge and found Check 6. The on-on wasn't along the riverfront but one Hasher was tempted to continue that way and ignore the rest of the Trail, which led along the shopping street. Somewhere around here it was asked whether a Hasher in front running in a salaryman costume was really the FRB. Then there was yet another Check, where the Trail turned left to Seigetsubashi. After this final bridge the Pack entered Triton Square, where the escalator proved too tempting for at least two Hashers. Back in the Co-hare's apartment, the returning Pack found various non-runners (one of whom had prepared a huge nabe full of steaming kimchi soup) and suspected SCBs, while the Co-hare offered vegetable curry and salmon salad.

Down-downs: awarded to Niku Doko? for fukinov early; Flashing Banker for being sleepy and fukinov early; Spermless for running in his salaryman costume and for fukinov early; the Hare and Co-hares for haring; Rapunzel for FRBing; Diana for DFLing; Headshot for suspected short-cutting; Flying Balls for his F3H3 Virginity, together with is partial namesake Kick My Balls; Moonie-chan, Crusader and Narita Cheetah for not running; Chucky and Flying Balls for use of mechanical conveyance on Trail; Khuming Rouge for not having fuktov to India as announced 11 days earlier; Kakapupu for manly man-talk with Niku Doko? about washing machines; Diana for bursting into the men's changing room and seeing Flashing Banker wearing nothing but a T-shirt, together with Gaseous Clay (obviously not chosen for a facial resemblance) as a Flashing Banker lookalike; Master Shafter for looking lonely without Pee Wee; Khuming Rouge for peeing during the Circle; Kick My Balls and Crusader for running in last Sunday's Tokyo Marathon; Kakapupu for not running in last Sunday's Tokyo Marathon because it was raining; I'm Totally Gay for his name and for eulogising about the Hash; Master Shafter for phone sex on Trail; Kick My Balls and Narita Cheetah for almost matching purple shirts; Khuming Rouge, Moonie, Kakapupu and Narita Cheeta for green shirts; Bear Ass for offering to Hare next week after the GM had decided to do it, together with Rapunzel for ingratitude towards a hare volunteer; Khuming Rouge for carrying Seya-chan back from Check 2; and Rapunzel, Bear Ass and Chucky for announcements. Finally I'm Totally Gay, Gaseous Clay, Headshot, Flying Balls and Bear Ass drank to the Flounder.

AfterHash: where Fukinov is an Art...  after disposing of the detritus, the Hares discovered several items belonging to departed hashers, including shoes, umbrellas and a stove. Anyone who may have left stuff behind at F3H3 should check on the "Found at the Hash" page.
